Effects of Ethanol Extraction of Tripterygium wilfordii on Proliferation and Apoptosis in Bone Marrow Cells
Objective: To study effects of ethanol extraction of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook. F.(TWH)on cell proliferation
cell cycle and apoptosis in bone marrow cells(BMCs) in vitro . Method: BMCs were cultured in vitro treated with different concentrations of ethanol extraction of TWH. MTT assay was used to evaluate the cell proliferation. The cell cycle and apoptosis rate were determined by FCM with PI and AnnexinⅤ/PI staining. Result: Viability of BMCs was significantly reduced by ethanol extraction of TWH in a time-and dose-dependent manner. Compared with control group
more BMCs were arrested at G0/G1 phase by TWH. Early Apoptosis rate was increased significantly. Conclusion: Ethanol extraction of TWH could notably inhibit the prolifteration of BMCs
arrest BMCs at G0/G1 phase and induce apoptosis of BMCs.
