Effect of Polysacharide on Invasion and Adhesion of Colon Carcinoma HT-29 to Endothelium
Objective: To investigate the effects of low molecular weight polysaccharide lsolated from Agaricus blazei (LMPAB) on tumor cell adhesion and transmigration to HUVECs. Method: HT-29 cell and HUVECs proliferation were analyzed by MTT. Adhesion and transmigration ability of HT-29 to monolayer HUVECs were examined by spectrophotometry and Transwell chambers. Result: LMPAB (5
10
20 mg ·L-1) showed no cytotoxic affect to HT-29 cells as well as the proliferation of HUVEC. LMPAB could significantly decrease counts of HT-29 adhesion to and transmigration through HUVECs. Conclusion: LMPAB exerts the anti-tumor metastasis activity via inhibition adhesion and transmigration of tumor cells toand through HUVECs.
