Hypoglycemic Effect of Total Polyphenols from Seeds of in Diabetic Mice
Objective: To study hypoglcemic effect of total polyphenols from seeds of Toona sinensis (STP)on diabetic mice model. Method: Diabetic model was induced by once intraperitoneal injection of STZ.Diabetic mice were randomly divided into model group

60 mg ·kg-1).All groups were fed for 14 consecutive days
and then the blood glucose were detected by glucose oxidizes on the fifteenth day.The organ index was also detected. Result: The blood glucose level of the diabetic mice was significantly decreased.STP could increase liver index significantly(P<0.05).STP could decrease MDA(P<0.05) and increase SOD (P<0.05) in liver homogenate of the diabetic mice significantly. Conclusion: STP can significantly decrease the blood glucose level in mice with diabetes induced by STZ.
