Removal of Plumbum Ion from Extract of Qingcha Compound by -mercaptopropyl Modified Silica Gel
Objective: To explore the possibility of removing plumbum ion from extract of Qingcha compound using γ-mercaptopropyl-modified silica gel (MPS). Method: MPS was synthesized by heterogenous route and characterized by DR-IR.Plumbum-polluted medicinal materials were extracted with water and the extract was passed through MPS column at a rate of 9 BV ·h-1.The content of plumbum was measured by AAS.The solid content and HPLC profiles of the extract were determined to evaluate the process changes. Result: Compared with unmodified silica gel (SG)
MPS could effectively reduce the content of plumbum in the extract
with 74.6% of removal efficiency.During the removal process
there were no obvious changes of solid content (only 2.6% loss) and comparability of HPLC (similarity was 0.976). Conclusion: MPS can be used for the removal of plumbum ion from the extract of Qingcha compound.
