Study on Absorption of Notoginsenoside R Using Rat Non-everted Gut Sac
Objective: To study the absorption characteristics of notoginsenoside R1 influenced by density
energy and p-glycoprotein with rat non-everted gut sac system. Method: Different concentration of notoginsenoside R1 was immersed into rat non-everted gut sac
and the absorption difference was compared.2-nitropenol
a metabolic inhibitor
was used to study the influence of energy on the absorption of notoginsenoside R1.Verapamil
a p-glycoprotein inhibitor
was used to study the influence of p-glycoprotein on the absorption of notoginsenoside R1. Result: The notoginsenoside R1 concentration in the sac was increasing according to the time.It was obvious that 2-nitropenol affected the absorption of notoginsenoside R1.Verapamil had no effect on the absorption of notoginsenoside R1 in sac system. Conclusion: The absorption mechanism of notoginsenoside R1 might be passive diffusion.Notoginsenoside R1 might not be the substrate of p-glycoprotein.
