Objective: To study the effect of Polysaccharides of Banana Peel on proliferation
colony formation and expression of nuclear factor- kappa B(NF-κB)p65 in human breast cancer cells. Method: The MTT assay was used

NF-κB (p65) protein expression decreased significantly with a dose-response manner Conclusion: Banana peel polysaccharides inhibited the MCF-7 cells proliferation and colony formation (P<0.05). Polysaccharide banana peel down-regulated the expression levels of NF-κB(p65) protein in MCF-7 cells. The mechanism of MCF-7 apoptosis may be related to down-regulation of the expression levels of NF-κB(p65).
