Determination of Double-wavelength Multiple of Content in
Objective: To establish a dual-wavelength HPLC method for the determination of ursolic acid and loganin from Cornus officinalis. Method: Octadecyl bonded silica stationary phase Shim-pack VP-ODS column was used. Gradient elution was performed with acetonitrile as mobile phase A
0.02% phosphoric acid water as mobile phase B. The detection wavelength was set at 210 nm and 238 nm. Result: UA was linear in the range of 0.1- 2.0 μg
(r=0.999 9). The average recovery was 99.44% (RSD 0.39%
n=6). Loganin was linear in the range of 0.08- 1.6 μg. (r=0.999 9). The average recovery was 98.92% (RSD 0.75%
n=6). Conclusion: The method established was simple
rapid and accurate and could be used for simultaneous determination of ursolic acid and loganin from dogwood.
