Objective: To investigate the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction combined with sports training on the behavior and neurons synapse remodeling in rats with focal cerebral infarction. Method: Rats were subjected to embolic focal ischemia using homologous clots and treated with: saline

the expression of P38 and growth associated protein-43(GAP-43) were detected by immunohistochemical approach at 7th
14th and 21st day after each management. Result: The sports training group
Buyang Huanwu group and the combined group all can reduce the damage score of rats nerve function
and the recovery was most significant in the combined group.The expression of P38 and GAP-43 in the combined group was remarkably increased compared with the sports training group and the Buyang Huanwu group. Conclusion: Buyang Huanwu Decoction combined with sports training can improve the scores of cerebral ischemia nerve behavior and promote synapse building and new contact of synapse regeneration
the combination of the decoction and sports showed excellent performances and synergism.
