Preparation of Rutin Microcapsules and Its Quality Evaluation
ObJective: Preparation of microcapsules of rutin and its quality evaluation. Method: Gelatin w
as used as capsule material and the rutin microcapsules were prepared by a single pool method.Optimization was performed by orthogonal design. Its preparation
encapsulation efficiency and microcapsule particle size
drug loading
in vitro release were also studied. Result: The optimum condition of rutin microcapsules prepared by this method was as follows:3% gelatin was used with capsule material and heart sac ratio of 1 ∶2;sacculation temperature was at 60 ℃ with stirring speed of 400 r ·min-1.The average encapsulation efficiency of rutin microcapsules obtained by the method was 75.24%.The particle size distribution was 76.40% in 25-35 μm
with an average drug loading of 32.04%.In vitro release of 30.48% reached in 0.5 h and the cumulative release in vitro reached 90% in 12 h. Conclusion: Microcapsules containing drugs prepared by the optimum conditions had shown good reproducibility
process stability
and good sustained action by in vitro release test.
