Objective: To observe the long-term toxicity induced by Banfo Nanometer pellets in rats. Methods: The rats were orally given Banfo Nanometer pellets doses of 10.0 g·kg-1

50 and 25 times of clinic dose) for 90 days. And rats were observed for 14 days after drug withdrawal. The rat’s weights

the indexes of hematology and biochemistry were determined. Pathological examinations were carried out. Results: The outer appearance and behavior

the indexes of hematology and biochemistry in drug groups had not shown significant difference by comparing with the control group. The pathological examination did not reveal significant pathological changes and delayed toxicity related to the drug. Conclusions: Banfo Nanometer pellets has no significant toxicity for long-term administration in rats. It infers that the clinical dose would be safe.
