Objective: To establish a method for determination of tetrandrine and fangchinoline fram Stephania tetrandra. S. Moore. Method: The condition for HPLC was C18 column(4.6 mm×150 mm

Agilent)
the mobile phase was a mixture of methanol-acetonitrile-water-triethylamine (55 ∶25 ∶20 ∶0.05)
the detection wavelength was 282 nm. Result : The standard curve was linear in the range of 0.386-3.86 μg and 0.366-3.66 μg and the correlation coefficient was 0.999 9 and 0.999 9 respectively.The average recovery of total tetrandrine and fangchinoline was 100.1%
RSD 1.79%. Conclusion : The method can be used for the quality control of Stephania tetrandra. S. Moore.
