Effect of the Polysaccharide from L. on Immune Function of Mice
Objective: To evaluate the effect of the polysaccharide from Eclipta prostrasta L. on the immune function of mice. Method: Kunming mice were randomly divided into 5 groups
the low
middle
high doses of the polysaccharide
the positive drug group and normal control group
treated ig for 14 days. All the mice were experimented with peritoneal macrophage
hemolysin and hemolytic antibody plaques formation. Result: Compared with normal
polysaccharide of Eclipta prostrasta L. of three doses significantly increased the peritoneal macrophages phagocytic index and percentage(P<0.01)
significantly promoted the hemolysin and hemolytic plaque formation in normal mice
particularly at the low dosage. Conclusion: The polysaccharide of Eclipta prostrasta L. can significantly increase the immune function in normal mice.
