Aim：To study the protective therapeutic action and mechanism of Liuwei Dihuang Decoction、Buzhong Yiqi Decoction and Compound Danshen Decoction on the marrow- suppressed mice. Methods：the expression of the TPO、c-Mpl and GATA-1 mRNA was detected by RT-PCR technique simultaneously. Result：Liuwei Dihuang Decoction and Buzhong Yiqi Decoction were shown to promote the expression of TPO、c-Mpl and GATA-1 mRNA in spleen of mice，through which they can accelerate the marrow cells of marrow-suppressed mice. Compound Danshen Decoction was not shown to promote the expression of Thrombopoietin（TPO）mRNA、Thrombopoietin receptor（c-Mpl）mRNA and GATA-1 mRNA in spleen of mice

but slso can accelerate Peripheral blood cells of marrow-suppressed mice. Conclusion：Peripheral blood cells of marrow-suppressed mice were increased significantly by Liuwei Dihuang Decoction、Buzhong Yiqi Decoction and Compound Danshen Decoction.
