Effect of Liqi Tiaobu Tang on Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis in Fatigue Induced by Exercise in Rat
Objective: To observe and to discuss the effect of Liqi Tiaobu Tang on hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in the rat of fatigue induced by exercise. Method: 30 male SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups. Ⅰ and Ⅱ groups are all trained for 6 weeks with swimming. The last exhaustive swimming time
serum corticosterone
testosterone
and hypothalamic β-endorphin were observed. Result: Liqi Tiaobu Tang could extend the time for exhaustive swimming in rats(P<0.01)
increase the content of T
and decrease the content of serum β-endorphin. Conclusion: Liqi Tiaobu Tang improves hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis function in the rat of fatigue induced by exercise. It may prevent the exercise fatigue.
