Rat Intestine Absorption Characteristics Study on Andrographolide with Isolated Everted Intestine Model
Objective: To study the intestine absorption of andrographolide. Method: The isolated everted intestine model was used to study the absorption in different regions of rat intestine(duodenum
jejunum
ileum
colon). The samples were collected at different time and determined with HPLC in combination with ultraviolet detector. Result: The intestine absorption rate constant increased along with andrographolide concentration. The absorption rate had no significant difference between different regions of intestines and different andrographolide concentration. Conclusion: The absorption of andrographolide showed passive diffusion process and didn’t contain a special absorption window.
