Pharmacologicl Study on Action of Qianlieshu Capsule for Treating Prostatitis Ⅰ ——Effect on Experimental Bacterial Prostatitis in Rat
Objective: To study the effect of Qianlieshu Capsule on bacterial prostatitis in rat. Method: The animal model of bacterial prostatitis was established by injection of Escherichia coli in ventral prostates
and Qianlieshu was given in different dosages for 10 days. The count of white blood cell
the density of lecithin
and bacteria colonies in prostatitis liquid
while the prostate weight
index
and pathological changes were observed. Result: Qianlieshu Capsule could obviously decrease white blood cells(P<0.01) and bacteria colonies(P<0.01)
and increased lecithin(P<0.05) were only found for the high dosage
deduced prostate weight
index were observed in the middle and high dosages. The pathological of inflammmator changes were obviously inhibited in high dosage(P<0.05). Conclusion: Qianlieshu Capsule has significant anti- bacterial prostatitis actions.
