Influence of Biqing Capsule on IL-12 and COX-2 Expression in Mouse with Acute Gouty Arthritis
Objective:By uric acid sodium(MUS)-induced acute gouty arthritis model
to observe Biqing Capsule treatment for acute gouty arthritis. Methods: The IL-12 content in joint fluid of ankle was measured by ELISA method.Mouse ankle COX-2 expression was determined by immunohistochemical methods. Results:Biqing Capsule obviously decreased ankle IL-12 levels and restrained rat ankle COX-2 expression. It indicated that Biqing Capsule for acute gouty arthritis had some anti-inflammatory effects. Conclusion: The Biqing Capsule's anti-inflammation and analgesia mechanism may be related to decreased ankle IL-12 level and restrained ankle COX-2 expression.
