The Effects of Houshiheisan on Activeness of Na-K-ATPase and NOS in Cerebral Tissue of Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion Model in Rat
Objective:To observe the effects of Houshiheisan on activities of Na+-K+-ATPase
NOS and iNOS in cerebral tissue of middle cerebral artery occlusion model in rat. Methods: Middle cerebral artery occlusion model was replicated by string ligation.Using behavioral test
the neurological deficiency of each group after operation was evaluated. The change in Na+-K+-ATPase
NOS and iNOS was detected by colorimetry. We observed the effects of Houshiheisan on activities of Na+-K+-ATPase
NOS and iNOS in cerebral tissue of middle cerebral artery occlusion model. Results: In comparison with model group
Houshiheisan can increase the activities of Na+-K+-ATPase in ischemic tissue of brain with the large or middle dose. Moreover Houshiheisan decreased activities of NOS and iNOS in ischemic tissue of brain with the large
middle and lower dose. Conclusions:Houshiheisan may increase the activities of Na+-K+-ATPase and decrease activities of NOS and iNOS for protecting the ischemia tissue.
