Effect of Bushen Jieyu Qinxin Decoction on the Behavior and Secretion of Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis of the Perimenopausal Depression Model in Rat
Objective:To study the effect of Bushen Jieyu Qinxin Decoction(BJQD) on the behavior and secretion of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal(HPA) axis of the perimenopausal depression model in rat.Methods:Perimenopausal depression modle was made by resecting the ovary of female SD rats combined with chronic unpredictable stress.40 rats were evenly randomized into control group

Baiyoujie group and BJQD group
with 10 rats in each group.Open-field locomotors scores and sucrose intake were employed to observe the changes of the rats' behavior.The levels of corticotrophin releasing hormone(CRH)
adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) and costicosterone(CORT) in serum were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.Results:The open-field locomotors scores of Baiyoujie group and BJQD group were significantly higher than those in the model group(P<0.01);the sucrose intake of Baiyoujie group and BJQD group were significantly higher than those in the model group(P<0.01);the levels of CRH
ACTH and CORT in serum of Baiyoujie group and BJQD group were significantly lower than those of in the model group(P<0.05).Conclusion:BJQD can effectively promote the model rats' behavior and adjust the function of HPA axis.
