Effect of Tatal Saponins of Ophiopogon on Experimental Hyperglycemias Mice
Objective:To study the effect of total saponins of Ophiopogon on blood sugar in experimental diabetic mice.Methods:Mice were raised with total saponins of Ophiopogan(100
200
400 mg/kg).The levels of blood sugar were calculated in experimental hyperglycemias induced by alloxan(100 mg/kg)
adrenaline(0.02 mg/kg) and glucose(2 g/kg).Results:Total saponins of ophiopogan was found to decrease various experimental hyperglycemias induced by alloxam
adrenaline and glucose.Conclusion:Total saponins of Ophiopogon has significant hypoglycemic effect on the experimental hyperglycemias in mice.
