Objective:To study the effectiveness of Aikeqing Capsule to attenuate adverse effect and enhance curative effect of HAART by the clinical observation of 7 HIV/AIDS patients who have been taken HAART.Methods:7 HIV/AIDS patients on HAART treatment took Aikeqing Capsules orally.These patients were given plasma HIV viral load test

blood test and liver function test and their symptoms and signs were evaluated by the established evaluation criteria including scores of symptoms and signs(Score 1)

and CD4 counts and CD4/CD8 were signficantly higher than before treatment(P<0.01

The abnormal indexes of the blood test and live function were also improved after the treatment.Conclusion:Aikeqing Capsule can attenuate adverse effects and enhance curative effects of HAART.It agrees with the results achieved from the animal experiments.
