Objective:To establish the best extracting method of Panax ginseng and Panax notoginseng for Shenshen kangxin drop.Methods:The orthogonal design was adopted to optimize the water extraction process.By means of the yield of saponin and Re as evaluation target

HPLC and spectrophotometer(at 544 nm) were employed for the study.Results:Optimum water-extracting factors were 8 times of water

refluxing and extracting for 1.5 h

for 3 times

and according with the factory's producing condition

it is feasible for factory to operate them.Conclusion:The optimal extraction process is simple convenient

and repeatable.Preparation quality and result are stable and accurate.The process is possible to be used in industrial production.
