Objective:To establish hyperuricemia model animal with similarities to the human metabolism

to observe the effect of Biqing capsule in compound Chinese herbal medicine prescription on the uric acid metabolism and explore the mechanism.Methods:Chicken was selected as the animal medel

and high protein and calcium diet was used to induce hyperuricemia.At the seventh day

choose chicken whose blood uric acid is bigger than 80 mg/L

then give medicine by group

continuously fills their stomach with 3 different dosages of Biqing capsule for 2 weeks

then examin the changes of their blood uric acid and activity of XOD.Results:The blood uric acid decreased obviously after Biqing capsule were given

with increase in uric acid excretion and decrease in XOD activity.Conclusion:The Biqing capsule can obviously reduce uric acid.The mechanism is likely linked with the restrain of uric acid production and promotion of its excretion.
