Objective:To investigate the effects of Fangji Fuling Tang on preventing glomerular mesangial cells' proliferation and affecting the expression of MMP2.So as to provide experimental evidence for using Fangji Fuling Tang to cure Chronic kidney disease.Method:Glomerular mesangial cells were cultured.TNF-α was used as a stimulation to make the cells to proliferate.Then Fangji Fuling Tang at different doses was incubated with the cells.Cell vitality was evaluated and qualified by MTT.Cell cycle were analysed by Flow CytoMeter(FCM).Secretion of MMP-2 expression was measured by ELISA.Results:Gtomerular mesangial cells' proliferation was inhibited (P<0.05)

the DNA diagram of Flow CytoMeter showed that the cell quantity in stage 'S' was reduced(P<0.05)

the expression of MMP-2 was markedly increased(P<0.05)in Fangji Fuling Tang groups.Conclusion:Fangji Fuling Tang may inhibit glomerular mesangial cells' proliferation and influence the synthesis and degradation of extracellular matrix.
