Study on the Method of Determination of the Contents of Total Flavonoids in the Effective Fraction of Kushen Decoction
Objective To establish the method for the determination of the content of total flavonoids in the effective fraction of Kushen decoction. Methods The content of total flavonoids was determined with HCl-Mg reaction colorimetry
and selected baicalin as reference substance.Results Baicalin had a liner relationship with the absorbance in the range of 6.971~34.857μg/mL and the regression equation was as follows:C=0.0221A+0.0053(R2=0.9994).The average recovery for baicalin was 103.59%.RSD=0.74%(n=5).Conclusion The determination of the contents of total flavonoids of three batches of samples showed that the method was easy and accurate
and could be used to determine the contents of total flavonoids in the effective fraction of Kushen decoction.
