HPLC Method for the Quantitative Determination of Magnolol and Honokiol in the Huoxiang Zhengqi Wan
Objective:To establish a method for determining Magnolol and Honokiol in the Huoxiang Zhengqi Wan. Method:An HPLC method was designed
which was performed under the following conditions:Zorbax sb-C18 column (4.6mm×150mm
5μm) as the chromatographic column
acetonitrile-water(68∶32) as the mobile phase at a flow velocity of 1.0mL/min
and the wavelength of 294nm as the detecting wavelength. Results:The calibration curves were linear in the range of 0.18 μg~3.5 μg magnolol and 0.11 μg~2.2 μg honokiol. The RSD was 1.5%(n=5) and 2.7%(n=5)
and the average recovery was 98.5% and 101.8%
respectively. Conclusion:This HPLC method is easy and accurate
and can be used as one of the methods for controlling the quality of the Huoxiang Zhengqi Wan.
