Object:To study active chemical constituents of Danggui Shaoyao San.Methods:Compounds in the fraction of volatile oil were studied by GC-MS and isolated by silica gel chromatography.Results:Thirty-two peaks were separated and twenty-four of them were identified by GC-MS;four compounds were obtained and three of them were identified as atractylenolide Ⅲ
phchymic acid and ferulic acid.Conclusion:The volatile oil may by the active fraction in preventing and treatment of senile dementia.
