The Influence of Naohuadan on the Level of Serum IGF-Ⅰ and Lipoprotein Metabolism in the Ovariectomized Rat
The research focus on the influence of Naohuandan on the level of serum insulin-like growth factor-Ⅰ (IGF-Ⅰ)and lipoprotein metabolism in order to determine the mechanism of the recipe on neurodegeneration in the ovariectomized rats. The results show that the total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of Naohuandan groups were significantly lower than that of control group; triglycerides
and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and serum IGF-Ⅰ of the recipe were significantly higher than that of control group. IGF-Ⅰ between the control group and conjugated estrogen group had significant difference. The results indicate that Naohuandan could effectively regulate the metabolism of lipoprotein and serum IGF-Ⅰ to protect the neurons.
