Experimental study of compatible application of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA on regulation of lipid metabolism, scavenging of free radicals and protcction of vascular endothelium in hyperlipidemia rat
Effects of compatible application of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA on regulation of lipid metabolism
scavenging of free radicals and protection of vascular endothelium in rat with hyperlipidemia were investigated. It was found that compatible application of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA reduced total cholesterol (TC)
triglyceride(TG)
low density lipoprotein
which was obtained by single use of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA
respectively.Conceming scavenging of free radicals and protection of vascular endothelium
compatible application of RRHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA decreased the malondiadehyde (MDA) with increased release of nitric oxide
but single use of RHIZOMA CHUANXIONG and RADIX PAEONIAE RUBRA did not indicate the same actions
which suggested that compatible application of the two drugs can create a synergism.
