Pharmacodynamics of compatible or single application of Bupleurum Root(BR) and Red Peony Root(RPR)
Vinegar-baked Bupleurum Root(VBR)and White Peony Root(WPR)was investigated.The anti-inflammatory and analgesia action were investigated in the inflammatory and pain model induced by 1.1% acetic acid ip in mice.The effects on gastric evacuation and intestinal movement by compatible or single application of the crude drugs were compared in mice by colorimetric method of phenol red.The promoting biliation action was detected by drained bile volume in rats.The analgesia and promoting bile excretion of VBR were stronger than BR.The antispasmodic action of compatibility BR and RPR(1∶1) or VBR and WPR(1∶2)was stronger than the single application of the drugs.The anti-inflammatory
analgesia action and promoting bile excretion effects did not show obvious difference between compatibility and single application.
