Optimization of Microwave Extraction Technology and Investigation of Antioxidant Activity for Polysaccharides from Seeds of
Objective: To optimize microwave extraction technology of polysaccharides from seeds of Vicia villosa
and preliminarily investigate its antioxidant activity. Method: With extraction amount of polysaccharides as index
L9(34) orthogonal test was adopted to optimize extraction technology of polysaccharides from seeds of V. villosa with liquid-solid ratio

microwave temperature and time as factors.The content of polysaccharides was determined by phenol sulfuric acid method
antioxidant activity of polysaccharides from seeds of V. villosa was detected by Fention reaction. Result: Optimum extraction conditions for polysaccharides from seeds of V. villosa were as followings:microwave extraction temperature 50℃
microwave treatment time 5 min
solid-liquid ratio 1:25 with pH 7;Under these conditions
extraction amount of polysaccharides was 30.043 mg·g-1.Antioxidant activity test showed that polysaccharides from seeds of V. villosa had strong antioxidant activity. Conclusion: This optimized technology was stable and feasible
it could provide experimental basis for comprehensive utilization and development of seeds of V. villosa.
