Traditional Chinese Medicine Aidi in Treatment of Transplanted Tumor in Animals
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Aidi in treatment of transplanted tumor. Method: We searched the databases up to September 2011 to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about traditional Chinese medicine Aidi in treatment of transplanted tumor in animals. They evaluated the quality of the included studies and analyzed data by Cochrane Collaboration's RevMan 5.0 software. Result: Thirteen RCTs involving 1 643 animal were included. Meta analysis results suggested that there were some certain differences between Aidi groups and model groups bearing tumor
reducing the weight of transplanted tumor and improving immune function in some degree. Besides this
compared with chemotherapy alone
Aidi plus chemotherapy has an advantage in tumor weight. Conclusion: The results of indicate that Aidi may have adjuvant therapeutic effects in treatment of transplanted tumor.
