Analysis and Comparison of Chemical Constituents of Essential Oils from Defirient Parts of
Objective: To compare the chemical constituents of the volatile oils from different parts of Aralia echinocaulis. Method: The volatile oils were extracted from leaves
roots bark and stems bark of A. echinocaulis by steam distillation
and GC-MS was used to analyze the chemical constituents.The relative percentage of each chemical constituent was calculated using peak areas normalization. Result: A total of 95 compounds were identified from three volatile oils of A. echinocaulis. There were 8 kinds of the same composition
and the main component was sesquiterpenes and their oxides
the second component was alkanes
aldehydes
esters and fatty acids. Conclusion: The comparative analysis shows that volatile oils of A. echinocaulis of different parts have some differences in composition and content.
