Objective: To prepare sulfated polysaccharides from Polyporus umbellatus and investigate its anti-oxidation activity. Method: Polysaccharides was extracted and isolated by alcohol precipitation

and in vitro scavenging effect of sulfated polysaccharides for hydroxyl free radical was observed. Result: Before and after sulfated
polysaccharides from P. umbellatus showed good antioxidation in scavenging hydroxyl free radical from Fe2+-H2O2 system
scavenging capacity of sulfated polysaccharides for hydroxyl free radical enhanced
and showed a clear dose-effect relationship. Conclusion: This method of preparing sulfated polysaccharides was accurate and reliable
it could provide references for further development and utilization of polysaccharides from P. umbellatus.
