Determination of Isofraxidin and Rosmarinic Acid in Zhongtongning Cream by HPLC
Objective: To develop the HPLC method for the determination of isofraxidin and rosmarinic acid in Sarcandra Zhongtongning cream. Method: The chromatographic separation was performed on Hypersil ODS C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm) column. Acetonitrile with 0.1% formic acid-0.1% formic acid was used as mobile phase. Detection wavelength was at 330 nm
column temperature was maintained at 30℃
the flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1. Result: Isofraxidin was linear in the range of 4.06-64.96 mg·L-1 (r=0.999 9). The average recovery and relative standard deviation were 100.48% and 0.73% respectively. Rosmarinic acid was linear in the range of 12.3-196.8 mg·L-1 (r=0.999 9). The average recovery and relative standard deviation were 101.98% and 0.1.5% respectively. Conclusion: This method was simple
accurate and specific with good reproducibility. It can be effectively used for the quality control of Sarcandra Zhongtongning cream.
