Effects of Glucosidorum Tripterygll Totorum Tablet on Serum HMGB1 and IL-17 in Rats with Collagen-induced Arthritis
Objective: To study the effects of glucosidorum tripterygll totorum (GTT) tablet on serum high mobility group box chromosomal protein 1(HMGB1) and interleukin 17 (IL-17)in rats with collagen-induced arthritis. Method: Forty SD male rats were randomly divided into normal group
model group
methotrexate group(3 mg·kg-1)
GTT tablet low dose group(5 mg·kg-1)
and GTT tablet high dose(10 mg·kg-1)group.Collagen induced arthritis model was made by bovine type II collagen. The medicines were given to relevant groups 12 hours after the establishment of the model once a day for 4 weeks
then the changes of arthritis index(AI) were estimated
and the contents of HMGB1 and IL-17 were analyzed by ELISA. Result: The results showed that the AI of treated groups were significant different from CIA group. Compared with the normal control group rats
the contents of HMGB1 and IL-17 were increased significantly in CIA group rats (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Compared with the CIA group rats
the contents of HMGB1 and IL-17 were decreased significantly both in GTT tablet high dose group rats and methotrexate group rats (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion: GTT tablet can improve the joint swell in CIA rats
