Objective: To discuss the clinical efficacy and mechanism of Shenshu Granule in the treatment of chronic pyelonephritis (CPN). Method: Ninety-three patients with chronic pyelonephritis were randomly divided into observation group (n=47) and control group (n=46). The urinary ALB 2-MG and NAG level in the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.01). The recurrence rate and the frequency of recurrence in the observation group were 32.6% and 56.5%

lower than the control group(59.6% and 102.1%)(P<0.05

P<0.01). Conclusion: The Shenshu granule in treating of CPN have significant clinical effect and it can reduce the CPN recurrence rate
