Observation for 30 Cases of Gouty Arthritis Treated with Modified Jiawei Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction
Objective: This study is conducted to investigate the clinical efficacy of modified Jiawei Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction on gouty arthritis. Method: There were 60 patients with gouty arthritis and two groups of treatment and control were set up. Patients in the treatment group were treated with modified Jiawei Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction and patients in the control group were treated with celecoxib. The symptoms and biomarkers for gouty arthritis were examined after two weeks treatment. Result: The total effective rate is 93.3% and 90.0% in treatment and control group respectively. There was no statistical significance
though the symptoms of gouty arthritis in treatment group were improved much better than control group. The data obtained by experimental analysis from pre-and post-therapy were analyzed. There was significant difference for inter-group comparison (P<0.05)

there was no any significant difference for the comparison of ESR and CRP between two groups. Conclusion: The modified Jiawei Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction has a significant clinical efficacy with the minimal side-effect.
