Study on Active Component and Bacteriostasis of Tetraploid Plant of Herba Taraxaci
Objective:By comparing the content of total flavones and chlorogenic acid and antibacterial activity between the artificial tetraploid and the wild plant of herba Taraxaci
it is aimed at providing the theoretical support for the tetraploid plant of herba Taraxaci application. Methods: The content of total flavones and chlorogenic acid was detected by ultraviolet spectrophotometry. Inhibitive effects about water-abstract by K-B scattering methods towards the Staphylococcus aureus
Escherichia coli
Bacillus aeruginosus
Bacillus paratyphosus were evaluated. Results: Tetraploid plant showed higher level of flavonoid and chlorogenic acid than those of the wild plant. The tetraploid and the wild plant of herba Taraxaci had satisfactory antibacterial activity on four kinds of bacteria. Conclusion: The tetraploid plant of herba Taraxaci would be useful to take the place of medicine herba Taraxaci.
