Effect of Panax Notoginoside on Inflammatory Reation of Rats with Acute Intracerebral Hemorrhage
MMP-9 of rats with acute intracerebral hemorrhage.Method:The SD rats were divided into 3 groups randomly: sham group
model group and Panax notoginoside group.An animal model of ICH was edtablished by injecting collagenase Ⅶ into the caudate nucleus
and then Zea longa score
ICH mortality and the contents of IL-6 and MMP-9 in rat brain were measured.Results:Longa score of PNS group are lower than that of model group at the 5
th
day after ICH model establishment(P

0.05).The improvement of neurologic impairment of PNS group at the 5

day compared with the 1

day are greater than that of model group(P

0.01).The ICH mortality rate between PNS group and the model group had no significant difference.The contents of IL-6 and MMP-9 in brain tissues around hematoma of model group were significantly elevated at the 48

and continued to rise till the 7

0.01).The inhibitive effect of PNS on the expressions of IL-6(P

day was obvious.Conclusion:Panax notoginoside can promote recovery of neurologic impairment after ICH. One of the mechanisms may be that PNS could effectively inhibit IL-6 and MMP9.
