Abstract
Objective:To develop a method for the determination of harpagide and 8-O-acetylharpagide in Herbal Ajugae.Methods:The determination was performed on Kromasil-C
18
(250 mm×4.6 mm
5 μm)and detected at 202 nm
the mobile phase was consisted of acetonitrile and water
gradient elution
the flow-rate was at 1.0 mL·min
-1
.Results:The calibration curves were linear in the range of 0.44 μg to 4.40 μg(r=(0.999 4)) for harpagide and 0.1 μg to 10 μg(r=(0.999 8)) for.The average recovery of harpagide was 100.93% with RSD 1.93%
and 8-O-acetylharpagide was 99.81% with RSD 1.62%.Conclusions: The method is simple
accurate
reproducible.It can be used for the quality control of Ajuga decumbens Thunb.
