Effects of Hanshibi Pellet on Synovial Membrane Hyperplasia and Study on Related Mechanism
Objective:To study the effects of Hanshibi Pellet(HSB) on synovial membrane hyperplasia and expression of MMP-1 and MMP-3 mRNA in rheumatiod arthritis induced by heat-killed mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra(Mtb) in SD rats. Methods: The adjuvant-induced rheumatoid arthritis(AA) in SD rats was established by sc immunization with the heat-killed mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra(Mtb).The expression of MMP-1 and MMP-3 mRNA in synovial membrane was measured by using nucleic acid hybridization in situ. Results:HSB could significantly inhibit the injury in ankle joint and decrease the expression of MMP-1 and MMP-3 mRNA in synovial membrane of AA model rats. Conclusions: HSB can inhibit the injury in ankle joint
which is concerned with the decrease of MMP-1 and MMP-3 mRNA expression in synovial membrane of AA model rats.
