Chronic Heart Failure Treated with Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine
the plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) is used to assess the efficacy of traditional Chinese and western medicine integrated treatment to congestive heart failure(CHF).Method: 164 patients with CHF were randomly divided into western treatment group alone(control group) and combination group(treatment group)
The level of plasma BNP were measured.Result: The level of BNP decreased in both group while it decreased more significantly in treatment group compared with control group.Treatment group in improving cardiac function is better than control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Integration of Chinese and western medicine is benefit to the patients of CHF and has better clinical efficacy than purely western medicine method. It may be come true through the deceasing of the level of BNP.
