Studies on Processing of Magnoliae officinalis Cortex
Objective:To clarify the evolution of the processing of Magnoliae officinalis cortex and to review the progress on this area.Method:The literature published in China and abroad was consulted and summarized.Result:The processing method of M.officinalis cortex was first described in Nanbei dynasty.Being fried with ginger juice was the mostly used processing method
and the purpose is to decrease the irritant on throat.The contents of magnolol and honokiol are used to evaluate the quality of the processed samples.Conclusion: Further study is needed to standardize the processing technology of M.officinalis cortex.
