Protective Effects of Trichostatin A Against Myocardial Ischemia and Reperfusion Injury in Rats
Objective:To investigate the protective effects of trichostatin A(TSA) against myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury in rats.Method:Wistar rats were divided randomly into six groups:sham group
model group
positive control and 0.05 mg.kg-1
0.1 mg.kg-1 and 0.2 mg.kg-1 TSA groups.Animal model was made by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery.Drug was administered five consecutive days before the operation by intraperitoneal injection.Rats were sacrificed after 30 min ischemia and 24 h reperfusion.Myocardial infarction size(MIS) was measured
the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)in serum were detected and myocardium HE staining results were observed.Result:Compared with model group
TSA can reduce the MIS
increase the activity of SOD and decrease the content of MDA in serum. Conclusions:TSA played a crucial role in cardioprotection against the ischemia and reperfusion injury in rats.
