Influence of Total Flavones of Acanthopanacis Senticosi and Electroacupuncture on Expression of Protein Bcl-2 of Brain after Cerebral Ischemia in Rats
Objective:To study the relation between cerebral ischemia and Bcl-2(B cell lymphoma/leuke-mia-2
Bcl-2) and the effect of electroacupuncture and total flavones of Acanthopanacis Senticosi Folium for treat-ment.Method:Male Wistar rat model of cerebral ischemia was established with the method of thread middle cerebral artery occlusion.The rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:model control group(group A)
acupuncture treat-ment group(group B)
total flavones group(group C)
acupuncture and Chinese medicine group(group D)
sham operation group(group E)and normal control group(group F).The neurological deficit score was evaluated and im-munohistochemistry was used to observe the expressions of Bcl-2.Result:Compared with those of the model group
the neurological deficit scores were significantly decreased in the treatment group(P < 0.01
P < 0.05).The expres-sion of Bcl-2 increased markedly in the A
B
C and D groups(P < 0.01).Compared treatment of acupuncture with Chinese medicine
group D was more obvious(P < 0.01
P < 0.05).Conclusion:Electroacupuncture and total fla-vones of Acanthopanacis Senticosi Folium both can increase the expression of Bcl-2 and diminish apoptosis inducedby ischemic cerebra
and electroacupuncture combined with Chinese medicine has significant effect.
