Optimization of Microwave-assisted Extraction Technology for Oleanolic Acid from Chaenomeles speciosa
Objective:To optimize microwave-assisted extraction process of oleanolic acid from Chaenomeles speciosa.Method: With yield of oleanolic acid as index
the concentration of ethanol
microwave power and particle size were selected as independent variables
effect of independent variables and their interaction on yield of oleanolic acid was analyzed by response surface methodology.The content of oleanolic acid was determined by HPLC.Result: Optimum extraction technology was:the concentration of ethanol 83%
microwave power 229 W
particle size 0.18 mm
under these conditions
yield of oleanolic acid was 6.33%
which agreed with theoretical predicted value of 6.46%.Conclusion: This optimized extraction technology was simple and feasible
it had a certain reference value for optimization of extraction condition for oleanolic acid from C.speciosa.
