Effect of Sini Decoction on the Contents of ET and NO in Atherosclerosis Rabbit Model with Hyperlipidemia
Objective:To observe the effect of Sini decoction on the contents of endothelin(ET) and nitric oxide(NO) in atheroscledsis(AS) rabbits with hyper lipidemia(HLP).Method: Rabbits were fed with high fat food everyday and injected with albumin from bovine serum(BSA)
egg-white protein
rabbits were treated with atorvastatin and three doses of Sini decoction. The level changes of ET and NO in blood after the intervention were assayed by radioiunoassay(RIA) and enzymatic determination separately.Result: NO content in Sini decoction group increased compared with model group
the ratio between ET and NO was reduced(P<0.05
P<0.01).It was statistically significant in the ratio between ET and NO in high dose of Sini decoction compared with model group(P<0.05).Conclusion: SNT can decrease the content of ET and increase the content of NO
the mechanism may be related with adjusting vascular endothelial function and reducing AS plaque formation.
