Observation of Therapeutic Effects for Sequelae of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease under Wet Acupoint Treatment of Far Infrared Warm Bag
Objective:Investigate into the therapeutic effects for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease under wet acupoint treatment of Far Infrared Warm Bag. Method:The patients of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease were randomly assigned into two groups named control and experimental group
respectively. The control group were orally administrated with Kunfukang capsules only. The experimental group were treated by Kunfukang capsules together with wet acupoint treatment of Far Infrared Warm Bag. The therapeutic effects between groups were compared at the end of two courses of treatment. Result:The response rates for chronic pelvic pain
known as the major symptom of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease
were 91.67% and 75.68% within experimental and control groups
respectively. The group differences were statistically significant with P<0.05.The overall response rate of the experimental group was 92.50%
while the number of the control group was 77.5%. The group differences were statistically significant with P<0.05. Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of treatment for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease can be significantly enhanced with wet acupoint treatment of Far Infrared Warm Bag. Moreover
it is characteristics of convenient use and good treatment compliance.
