Objective: To investigate the chemical constituents of Scutellaria barbata. Method: The compounds were isolated and purified by chromatographies on silica gel column and Sephadex LH-20 column together with recrystallization method

and their structures were elucidated on the basis of physical and spectral analyses. Result: Eight compounds were isolated and identified as p-hydroxyacetophenone (1)

7 and 8 were obtained from Scutellaria for the first time. Compound 6 was obtained from the title plant for the first time.
